today I am thinking back to the Ripley Scroll
that I touched upon in a previous post
I realized that I am my own scroll,
a work of art,
I am, my life is, an "alchemical investigation",
and the Philosopher's Egg
is me

He holds the Philosopher’s Egg — 
‘the glass flask in which you make all your experiments. 
Its handles are inscribed,
