Hello! Welcome to My Homepage!
Welcome to My Homepage is a Digital Artist Residency
under the auspices of The Museum of Human Achievement in Austin, Texas.
I am in residence for the month of May 2020. This month, I will taking you on a journey to visit various museums across the globe.
I will be appropriating images from their collections
and creating digital works of art that will express my perspective
on being a practicing artist during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Today I am appropriating Edward Hopper's Nighthawks from The Art Institute of Chicago
The painting has come to be a symbol of the Coronavirus pandemic experience.
In a recent article in The Washington Post Magazine
Sarah Kelly Oehler (chair and curator of American art at The Institute) says,
“The great story that he would tell was that this was about imagining what it would be like
in a blacked-out city to come across this brightly lit diner with people in it,”.
This is my interpretation of what it is like, in the Coronovirus Pandemic, to come across this diner.
